FedEx Express Virtual ("FDXVA", "we", "us", or "our") is a fan-operated, non-profit flight simulation community. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information about you when you visit fdxva.org and its sub-pages, create an account, or otherwise interact with our services.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, and other applicable data protection laws.

- Flight data: Pilot ID, flight routes, aircraft used, landing rates, and flight reports you submit through our ACARS system.

- Communications: Messages you send to our support email or through our Discord server.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your pilot account.
- To process and record flight reports and award virtual rank/certifications.
- To communicate with you about your membership, including account notices.
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.
- To improve our services based on aggregate usage statistics.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties.
3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the UK, our legal bases for processing are:
- Contract performance: Processing your data to provide the virtual airline services you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests: Security, fraud prevention, and service improvement.
- Consent: Where you have given explicit consent (e.g., optional marketing communications).
4. Cookies & Third-Party Services
This website uses cookies and loads resources from third-party services:
- Essential cookies: Session management cookies required for login and site functionality. These cannot be disabled without breaking the site.
- Preference cookies: Storing your cookie consent choice in your browser's

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Inactive accounts and associated flight records may be deleted after 24 months of inactivity. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 7).

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including hashed passwords (bcrypt), HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, and restricted database access. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erase your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restrict or object to certain processing.

FDXVA is operated from the United States. If you are located in the EEA or UK, your data is transferred to and processed in the US. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) where applicable, or your explicit consent, for such transfers.
9. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in some EU member states). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
